Six decades contributing to nature conservation in Argentina

We celebrate 60 years of work in Argentina, guided by the vision of healthy lands and seas where wildlife thrives. Throughout this time, together with governments, scientists, civil society organizations, the private sector, and local communities, we have generated effective, innovative, and science-based solutions to protect priority species and spaces, promoting the coexistence of communities with nature.

Our History

When we started working in Argentina, we promoted research to “discover” and better understand some of the world's greatest natural wonders. That knowledge now guides large-scale integrated management of both wildlife and its habitats.

Over the past six decades, we have developed strategies and tools to protect species and spaces in various sites in Patagonia, Puna, Espinal, and the Pampas region through the creation, strengthening, and monitoring of protected areas.

In unprotected environments, we promote nature tourism, regenerative livestock management, and the implementation of nature-based solutions, promoting coexistence.
